Several key figures from President-elect Donald Trump's cryptocurrency venture are heading to Abu Dhabi for the largest bitcoin gathering in the Gulf region as the digital currency hits record highs. Among the speakers are Trump's son Eric and billionaire Steve Witkoff, co-founder of World Liberty Financial (WLF), a crypto platform launched in September with the Trumps’ involvement.

Eric Trump will deliver the keynote address at the Bitcoin MENA conference, expected to draw over 6,000 attendees, and will also host a "whale-only" chat for VIPs, requiring a $9,999 pass for big players.

Witkoff will also speak to the exclusive crowd, which consists of significant market influencers. Trump is the chief crypto advocate for WLF, and his sons, Eric, Don Jr., and Barron, are ambassadors for the platform. According to company filings, Donald Trump holds 22.5 billion WLF tokens and a share of its revenues.

Marshall Beard, COO of Gemini, a crypto exchange backed by the Winklevoss twins, described the Bitcoin conference as pivotal for the crypto industry. Other speakers include Justin Sun, founder of the Tron blockchain, who became WLF’s largest investor by purchasing $30 million in WLF tokens. The event comes at a crucial moment for the industry, with Trump, once a crypto skeptic, pledging to make the U.S. the "crypto capital of the planet." Bitcoin recently hit a record $100,000.

Trump has also appointed former PayPal executive David Sacks, a close associate of Elon Musk, as a White House czar for AI and cryptocurrencies. Musk, a major donor to Trump's campaign, has helped elevate the president-elect's digital asset initiatives. Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, will also speak at the conference on his life in politics, alongside Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, who has a criminal record related to crypto money laundering.

Neither Trump, his family, nor the other speakers responded to comment requests.
