ECB's Kazimir Signals Possibility of Two Additional Rate Cuts

 

On Monday, European Central Bank policymaker Peter Kazimir indicated that there could be two additional interest rate cuts by the end of the year, depending on economic data.

In a blog post, the Slovak governor stated, "The possibility of further easing remains on the table if the economic conditions support and necessitate such measures."

He added, "Financial markets are anticipating two more rate cuts before the year concludes. While this expectation is not entirely without merit, it should not be considered a certainty or the default scenario."
