Prosus Makes €4.1 Billion Bid for Just Eat Takeaway

Dutch tech investor Prosus announced on Monday its intention to acquire Just Eat Takeaway.com in a bid to create a "European tech champion" in the food delivery sector. 

The company plans to make an all-cash offer of 4.1 billion euros ($4.31 billion) for the entire share capital of Just Eat Takeaway.com, at a price of 20.30 euros per share on the Amsterdam exchange. 

The offer has received unanimous support from Just Eat's management and supervisory board. Prosus, which is majority-owned by South Africa's Naspers, already owns a 28% stake in global food delivery leader Delivery Hero.
