Spain's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.8% in the second quarter compared to the previous three months, as reported by the National Statistics Institute (INE) on Friday, confirming the preliminary estimate released in June.

This quarter-on-quarter GDP growth matched the average forecast from analysts surveyed by Reuters.

On a yearly basis, Spain's economic output in the second quarter grew by 3.1%, with INE revising the figure up from the earlier estimate of 2.9%. Analysts had anticipated a 2.9% rise, according to the Reuters poll.

Additionally, INE revised the first quarter of 2024's quarter-on-quarter GDP growth to 0.9%, up from the initial estimate of 0.8%.
