Indonesia has granted local content certificates for 20 Apple products, including the iPhone 16, according to a spokesperson from the industry ministry on Friday. However, Apple still requires additional permits from other ministries before it can begin selling the phones.

This move follows Apple’s announcement last month of over $300 million in investments in Indonesia, which includes funding for plants producing components for its devices and a research and development center.
